At Native Hawaiian Veterans, LLC, we are guided by a genuine appreciation of our heritage and cultural roots to value:

  • 'Ohana — the circle of those who are family and those chosen as family.

  • Alaka'i — Leadership - leading with initiative and by setting a good example.

  • Kina'ole — flawlessness in doing the right thing, the right way, the first time.

  • Lōkahi — unity and harmony in collaboration and cooperation in working together to achieve more.

  • Ho'okipa — treating others hospitably and with generosity in sharing with our 'ohana and our community

We approach each customer with our driving principle in mind:

Doing the right thing, The right way, The first time.

Principles

Kina'ole: In Old Hawai’i, if a professional, whether a craftsman, artist, priest, or official, performed a task in his line of work, it was expected to be done without defect or flawlessly.  Anything less was not acceptable.

In operational terms, kina'ole means:

  • Doing the right thing, in the right way, at the right time, in the right place, to the right person, for the right reason, with the right feeling – the first time.

The concept is based on constantly rising standards because as you do your best you are making continuous improvements.

We have adopted kina'ole, not as our core values, but rather, a way of life because it will always challenge our desire to be the very best not only for ourselves but for our customers.

Ultimately, kina'ole ensures the highest quality service or product for those we serve and touch in our community.

Ethics

Our Code of Business Conduct and Ethics coupled with our Core Values reflect our continuing and absolute determination to do the right thing, at the right time, for the right reason (Kina'ole). We have a diverse workforce that delivers a variety of services in several lines of business and projects throughout the world.  Our clients and partners are small and large; government contractors; and federal, state and local government.

Our Business Code of Conduct serves as a resource for all employees:

  • Safety: “We hold sacred the well-being of people – employees, clients and communities in which we work and live.”

  • Integrity: “We live by the highest ethical standards.” Integrity is doing the right thing when no one is looking.

  • Teamwork: “We respect each other’s perspective and share knowledge and resources to achieve excellence, deliver value, and grow individually and collectively.”

  • Excellence: “We deliver quality service and solutions of unmatched value, constantly raising the bar on our performance.”

The standards established in this Code summarizes, clarifies and sometimes updates our existing standards for employee conduct so that we can all act consistently within the framework of our vision and values.
